So I just got songs from the soundtrack of Music & Lyrics and was listening to ‘Meaningless Kiss’. Then I started to wonder…can kisses be meaningless??

I received an email a long time ago about the hidden meanings of kisses. For the sole purpose of proving that I did not hallucinate that email, I searched for the meanings of kisses (oh yes…I am procrastinating…what else is new?). So…anyway, I was right! I DIDN’T hallucinate that email. This is what I found out:

Firstly, what is a kiss?

kiss

-v. 1. to touch or caress with the lips, as in affection or greeting.

Are there different meanings to the places you plant your kisses? Well…apparently…yes~

  • Kiss on the hand – I adore you.

  • Kiss on the cheek – I just want to be friends.

  • Kiss on the neck – I want you.

  • Kiss on the lips – I love you.

  • Kiss on the ears – Let’s have some fun.

  • Kiss on the nose – Let’s get silly.

  • Kiss anywhere else – You’re the best.

Further searches showed that there are SOOOOO many types of kisses…sooooo many that I can’t list them all here, but you can go check it out for yourselves here.

What’s more? There are tips on places to kiss your loved one.

Behind their ear. Tip of their nose. Back of their neck. Underside of their forearm. Curve of their waist. Palm of their hand. Inside their wrist. Under their chin. Their eyelids. Inside of their ankle. Their collar bone. Tips of their fingers. Their spine. Small of their back. Their tummy. Behind their knees.

If you’re thinking why such an “innocent” person like me starts to wonder about kisses…well…let’s just say there’s a thin line between deprivation and interest~
